Love Local Festive Fun Day

Launceston CBD will host a day of free community activities while you finish off your Christmas shopping.
Performances from local school choirs, the Tasmania Police Pipe Band, and St Joe's Big Band will serenade shoppers, while carollers will rove through the city for the day.
Kids can have fun at the circus play area or drop off their letters to Santa in the Old Brisbane Arcade.
You'll have the chance to see and vote for window displays in shops participating in the Light Up Launnie competition.
The event encourages people to shop local in the city while providing a cheerful festive atmosphere for shoppers and families.
Launceston's Love Local Festive Fun Day is on Saturday, December 13 from 10am to 3pm at locations around the city.
Launceston Rodeo
December 13
Launceston rodeo will deliver an action-packed evening at Fairlands, with events including bull and bronc rides, barrel racing, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, junior competitions, and more.
Food, drinks, and a bar will be available on site, and the event is family friendly.
Gates open at 1pm with rodeo action beginning at 3pm on Saturday, December 13 at Fairlands, East Tamar Highway, Newnham.
Shannons Salvation Army Classic Car Charity Show
December 14
Shannons Salvation Army Classic Car Charity Show in Campbell Town raises funds for the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
Check out classic cars and bikes from all over Tasmania and bring along donations of non-perishable food for the Salvation Army to distribute to people in need this Christmas.
There will be a free barbecue and Christmas music at the car show.
The event runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday, December 14, with the Shannons Choice and Salvation Army Awards presented at 2pm. The event is held at the King Street Oval, Campbell Town.

Enjoy community Christmas carols, followed by pizza, tea and coffee, and cake.

Carols by the riverbank, Deloraine
The Combined Christian Churches present "Carols by the Riverbank" with a free sausage sizzle at 6.30pm followed by carols at 7pm. Bring family, friends, and a blanket or chair and join the celebration.

Perth community carols
Enjoy Christmas carols performed by Perth Primary School Choir, followed by supper in the hall.

Presented by Combined Christian Churches George Town, join the community choir, band, and soloists to sing carols. Food and snacks available from Kimmy's Dream Cafe and the Lions Club at 5pm, for a 6pm start to the carols.

Anglican Parish of Quamby's nine lessons and carols
Nine lessons and corals will feature guest violinist Naoma Palombi and flautist Francis Hunter to accompany the 1860 JW Pipe organ. The carols will be followed by Christmas treats and morning tea.

City of Launceston Carols in the Park
Bring a picnic and enjoy a magical evening of entertainment featuring local performers and a special guest from the North Pole.

Gilmore Cycling Classic
December 26
Run by the Tasmanian Junior Cycling Foundation, the Gilmore Cycling Classic is a fast, technical race held on Boxing Day in Launceston.
On closed city streets with food vendors and commentary, spectators can watch Tasmania's strongest riders and interstate talent battle for the win.
The event honours Matthew and Graeme Gilmore, two Tasmanian riders who achieved success on the world stage and have remained deeply connected to the local cycling community.

The Gilmore Cycling Classic begins at 2pm on December 26 at Racecourse Crescent, Launceston.
