When it comes to earphones, sound quality is (unsurprisingly) the number one thing consumers look for - which is why the new earphone range from Samsung is hitting the mark.
On February 26 AEDT in San Francisco, Samsung unveiled their latest audio devices, including Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro, alongside their much-anticipated Galaxy S26 Series mobile.
With a long-standing research and development legacy in sound, Samsung proudly owns JBL, Denon and Harman, meaning sound quality is their signature.
Here's a sneak peek into what we're loving about the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro range.

1- Crisp, resonant sound quality
The sound on the Galaxy Buds4 range contains a natural base of 24-bit and 96kHz Hi-Fi audio [1], giving it a quality that is as true to the original - meaning you can listen to your favourite tunes as close to how they were intended by the artist.
Galaxy Buds4 introduces Samsung's new wider woofer and tweeter with an upgraded 2-way speaker, resulting in a sound that is highly resonant with a deep pulse.
"With this hardware update, we have maximised the speaker size, meaning your sound is richer, fuller and clearer. That means when you are listening to an orchestra, for example, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro can catch the high, resonant sound of violins while also letting you enjoy the deep, throaty pulse of the contrabass. You can experience the full, diverse range of instruments as if they are right there in the room with you," said Kylie Mason, Head of Wearables, Mobile eXperience, Samsung Electronics Australia.
Equipped with adaptive ANC [2] and EQ, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro offers powerful noise cancellation and personalised sound that adjusts based on your environment, all while delivering phenomenal sound.
Plus, a Super Clear Call [3] feature with 16kHz, crystal-clear voice quality that works for both the caller and receiver makes it a game changer for taking calls in high-traffic environments.
2- Hands-free gesture technology
One of the newest features on the Galaxy Buds4 range is Head Gestures [4], which offers convenience in situations when your hands are tied.
Imagine you're doing your weekly shop at a supermarket and you receive an important call. However, you're busy navigating shopping bags, a trolley and perhaps a couple of restless kids.
While wearing your Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro earphones, you can simply nod to accept calls, shake to decline, screen the call or trigger other Bixby [5] controls.
"Our earbuds are becoming ever more integrated in our daily lives, and often you can be caught off guard in the middle of a task. Hands-free gestures set out to minimise disruption when let you seamlessly answer a call without breaking your stride," said Kylie.

3- Sleek, stunning design
The Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro earphones are undoubtedly stylish in Samsung's signature metal blade design.
Having passed the test of hundreds of millions of global ear data points and 10,000+ simulations [6] to find a comfortable ear design, the Galaxy Buds4 range are designed to fit snugly in the ear regardless of ear shape.
"We have worked to improve on the design of the Galaxy Buds3 Series, refreshing the product to offer a more aesthetic design, as well as one that provides increased functionality," said Kylie.
An updated, concave pinch control offers quick interaction to change sound controls while the case has similarly been upgraded to a cradle design that makes accessing and putting away your earphones a seamless and satisfying experience.

4- Language interpreter
A fan-favourite feature - the language interpreter - which offers real-time, two-way language translation will continue in the Galaxy Buds4 range when paired with compatible Galaxy AI mobiles.
To do this, the system uses the "Interpreter" [7] app to play translated audio directly into your ears while the phone speaker handles the other person's language.
Key features include Conversation Mode which allows for natural, back-and-forth conversation, with the phone acting as a microphone and the buds delivering the translation.
There is also Listening Mode, a feature that is ideal for lectures or tours, this mode translates one-way speech directly to your earbuds.
Controls like pause, resume and repeat can be managed using touch controls on the earbuds.
Preorder Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro from 26 Feb, order from 11 March. Galaxy Buds4 prices start at $299. Galaxy Buds4 Pro prices start from $399.
