Court records show the charge related to an incident at Longford on February 18, 2018, when Farrell raped a 14-year-old girl.

There was brief applause from the public gallery as the verdict was read out.

Justice Robert Pearce ordered that Farrell, whose address was registered with court records as Brassall, a suburb in Ipswich, Queensland, be remanded in custody to appear for sentencing on Friday, February 27.
