A man who stomped on a paton's head twice in a pub brawl has avoided time behind bars.
Lachlan Blake Sebastian Roberts, 21, had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of assault relating to an incident at the Commercial Hotel in Launceston on April 30, 2023.

In the Supreme Court in Launceston on Tuesday, February 24, Justice Robert Pearce, summarising the matter before handing down his sentence, told Roberts he was there socialising with his sister, brother and a friend when a disagreement with another group broke out.
Roberts, of Rocherlea, punched a man in the face, knocking him to the floor and continued to punch him in the head while he was on the ground, Justice Pearce said.
The court heard that later, Roberts punched another man to the ground, leaving him unconscious, before stomping on his head twice.
All the incidents were captured on CCTV, Justice Pearce said.
Justice Pearce said Roberts' lack of maturity at the time made him more prone to ill-considered or rash decisions.
"Assaults of this nature are highly traumatic for victims," Justice Pearce said.
"The dangers associated with assaults of this nature are well known."
The court heard the assaults left one man with a fractured right temporal bone.
Roberts was convicted on each count and sentenced to a home detention order for 15 months.
