Three national chains are making themselves at home in a thriving Launceston suburb.
After a months-long redevelopment on Hobart Road, petrol and convenience chain On The Run opened its Kings Meadows store on February 26.

The store is the first On The Run outlet in the Launceston region, and follows new stores in Devonport and Howrah.
Cooee is next cab off the rank in an expansion plan that aims to establish OTR stores across the state.
Manager Teagan Taylor and her team of 15 officially opened the new 24-7 store shortly after 10am, offering grab-and-go food, barista coffee, hot dogs and frozen drinks.

Another national chain is moving into the nearby Meadow Mews complex.
Zambrero will open its third Launceston store in the tenancy alongside Donut King, adding to stores in Brisbane Street and the corner of York and Bathurst, which arrived in 2016.
Zambrero's Tasmanian development agent Richard Atkins said the Mexican chain would take over the Meadow Mews site in July, with an eye to opening in August or September.

"[We've been looking for] somewhere for some time because it's such a growing area," Mr Atkins said.
"The reason we've decided to go in that spot is because it's the main entry point and there'll be outdoor furniture there as well. It's one of the more profitable Coles' in Tassie."
The new store, which will be the 11th in Tasmania, will employ about 15 people and look to engage with local schools and sporting clubs once open.
Mr Atkins said Zambrero was keen to continue expanding into the North, and was considering Prospect Vale as a future destination.
Zambrero's arrival continues a period of change for the Meadow Mews complex.

Cellarbrations has relocated to the Northern end of the complex, allowing national men's clothing chain Lowes to open its first store in Northern Tasmania.
Nearby, the former Salvos store on Hobart Road is up for lease after the organisation moved into the former Rivers store on Riseley Street.
