Human remains found in the North-West have been provisionally identified, police say.
Police said remains found recently near Philosopher Falls, Waratah, had been provisionally identified as belonging to missing Belgian woman Celine Cremer.
Commander Nathan Johnston said expert reports had provided compelling evidence the remains were likely to be those of Ms Cremer.

Police said a report was being prepared for the coroner, who would officially determine the identity of the remains.
They said no further searches were planned.
"Tasmania Police extends its sincere condolences to Ms Cremer's family and loved ones," Commander Johnston said.
"While this provisional confirmation will not ease their loss, we hope the outcome will provide them with some measure of clarity and closure.
"We want to thank community members for their ongoing support and interest in Celine's case, and I want to acknowledge the extensive efforts of search and rescue personnel, partner agencies and volunteers who dedicated significant time and resources during the many search phases."

Ms Cremer, a backpacker, was last seen at Waratah on June 17, 2023.
