A cancer journey came "out of the blue" for maths teacher Scott Brewer.
"I went in for an iron infusion, and next day I was in getting tested for a lymphoma", he said.

"They found a spot on my spleen and... and then went from there".
He was one of 12 students and two staff members participating in the Kings Meadows High School World's Greatest Shave event, organised by the Year 10 prefects, on Wednesday.
Strengthened by support from his wife and daughter, Scott described his recovery as "a bit of a long haul", and was encouraged by the show of support from the students.
"It shows how much people care", he said.
"It means a lot for people out there that do suffer from this".
Year 10 student Jarvis Hjort has shaved his head each year at high school.
In the past has grown his hair long to donate to the Cancer Council for a wig.
"It's just one thing that I can do to make somebody else's life a little better", he said.
"To show my support, you know, to possibly help someone through their day".
Top fundraisers on the day were Ryan Scolyer, who raised $1,035, and Eamon Farrell, who raised $654.
Overall, $3984 was raised.
