Eliza Carins has been in a world of pain since her beloved dogs, Penny and Dot, went missing.

In a final bid to get her beloved pets back, Ms Carins offered a $5000 reward for their safe return and said she would hand the money over, "no questions asked".

Ms Carins said the two golden retrievers, who are mother and daughter, got out of their yard in Blackstone Heights on Tuesday, June 16.

"They were seen up the road by several neighbours on Wednesday morning," she said.

One of those neighbours called Ms Carins immediately and attempted to secure the dogs in her own yard.

But they got out, and by the time Ms Carins arrived to collect them 15 minutes later, they were "nowhere to be seen".

The dogs were last seen at Bayview Drive in Blackstone Heights on Wednesday at about 9.30am.

"We are desperate and distraught, it's my daughter's birthday Friday, what a present it would be if we can get them back for her birthday," Ms Carins said.

Multiple posts calling for anyone with information have circulated social media with hundreds of people sharing and commenting, and even helping search for the dogs.

"There are people out there looking for them flat out, you can see them driving and walking with torches," Ms Carins said.

"There are people everywhere, all the time. It's been amazing."

Ms Carins urged people in the Launceston area to keep an eye out for the pair.

"Please, please check your houses, your neighbours houses, anyone's house that you know are away, sheds, anything," she said.

"Check your cameras, any tiny bit of information that we can gather may help."

If anyone has the dogs, Ms Carins urged them to bring them home safely.

"I don't care, even if they just dropped them at a dog park," she said.
